Pages and posts are both post types in WordPress, and you can extend beyond that to create more specific post types according to your site’s needs. For example, you can create post types that organize data for your products, employees, clients, and more. Creating a custom post type allows you to section that data off from the standard pages and posts, which makes it easier to control, organize, and display the way that works best for you.
