Introducing Download Score

To maintain our platform’s sustainability, we introduce an important index: Download Score. This indicates your likeliness of breaching our fair play policy which is included in our Terms & Conditions. This score is calculated as follows:

Download Score = number of downloaded items / total number of downloads

Your membership(s) will be infinitely suspended if your Download Score keeps high all the time. To avoid this, we suggest some dos and donts:

DOs:

  • Download only some specific items. Your favorite items table is useful for that.
  • Use only one account.

DONTs:

  • Download multiple items in a row.
  • Share downloaded items to your own website or public forums.
  • Create new account(s) if you already have one. This will result in even higher Download Score in your new accounts.

Please remember once your membership(s) are suspended, refunds will not be eligible.

Hello,

I dont understand my score of 100%, I have only used the site for one plugin so far.

If you're a new user then 100% score is not a red flag. We consider other factors too, not just the score.

Is this a new feature? I am confused about the scoring. I paid for a yearly subscription, how have a downloaded too many times and why was it never mentioned over the past year?

Hi Ray, this is a score we came up with to help identify breachers of our site. If your score is around 50-85 then you're good to go.

Hi Kenneth, sorry for the inconvenience you've had in the last couple of months. Please be assured that we are trying our best. For the score, it's in beta so don't worry much about it.

I find this to be an anti-commercial practice. I am new to your site, I had to download 4 or 5 plugins and I already have a score of 100%.
You shouldn't be so careful about the practices of your users. The competition is important on this market, think about it...

Hi Fernez, welcome to GPL Coffee and thanks for your feedback. Well, that's a hell of an idea. Let us think about it.
